Due to all invitations and stationary are custom designs you should call Deanne so she can sit down with you and discuss all your options and requirements at least 6 months prior to the event.
So, as soon as you have your date, venue, and a rough number of guests attending, you can start thinking about your stationery. That way you've got a date to work back from, an idea of what style of wedding you're going to have (ie: cocktail party, sit down formal), and a rough number of invitations etc that you're likely to need.
Most couples send their invitations out approx. 8 weeks before the day.
Invitations are completed within a 15-20 working day once all details have been checked and finalised. With these figures in mind, you should probably look at ordering your invitations around 4 months prior to your wedding - that way you give yourself time to hunt down everyone's addresses and postcodes and to find out whether your aunt is a Catherine with a "C" or a Katherine with a "K"(it'll take longer than you expect!)
How does the wording go again?
The wording of a wedding invitation used to be a very formal affair with some very strict guidelines that had to be adhered to. These days, however, there are a wide variety of options that you can choose from - from the very formal, to the not so formal. We'll work with you in order to get the type of wording that suits you best.
What colours should I choose?
Colour choice is one of things that is so personal it's always hard to suggest something that will make everyone happy. We usually suggest you take one of the colours that is going to feature in your wedding - perhaps colours from your bouquet, or perhaps the bridesmaids' dresses and combine these in your invitation. Some brides prefer to keep things very elegant and neutral and will opt for invitations in creams, silvers and soft golds. Others will choose their favorite colour simply because it's their favourite colour. Oftentimes, if your wedding has a strong theme (ie: beach), the theme will suggest certain colour palettes. The rule is - there are no rules!
