If you have something already in mind, if you would like to make major alterations to an existing design, or if you have absolutely no idea of what you want, we'd like to start the process at this stage with you.
We'll meet, have a talk about your big day and discuss all the possibilities - style, theme, colour combinations, fonts etc. We'll also talk about what you'll be needing and how you'd like your invitations to look. How many invitations (roughly) will you be sending out? Do you want reply cards? Thankyous? Will you be needing placecards at the reception? All of that and more...
4 months or more before the wedding
If you'd like to choose one of my existing designs, or if you have slight alterations to an existing design, this is the time when we'd like to meet you.

I've chosen a custom design - what happens next?
If you've chosen to have a custom design, my next step is to go away and design something for you based on our initial meeting. I will provide you with one physical mock-up of this design and present it to you with all of your details, ie: times, dates, reception venues, font choice etc, included.
A design/layout deposit of $50 + any custom design fees if applicable is required at this time. This $50 fee will be subtracted from the total amount once production is complete.
Any further modifications will be presented as either an electronic pdf file or as a b&w print-out.
During this time we ask you to finalise all of your details and numbers ready for production.
I've chosen a standard design - what happens next?
If you've chosen an existing design, I take all of your information (names,dates, times, reception venues etc) and place them into the design of your choice. I will provide you with one physical mock-up of this design and present it to you with all of your details, ie: times, dates, reception venues, font choice & colour combinations etc, included.
During this time we ask you to finalise all of your details and numbers ready for production.
A design/layout deposit of $50 is required at this time. This fee will be subtracted from the total amount once production is complete.
Approx. 3 months before the wedding
This is production time. We'll need a finalised, typed (preferably computer generated) file from you, including correct spelling of all details. Most invitations are completed well within a 15-20 working day period, although in busy periods the times can stretch a little longer. This is why we suggest to brides to order as soon as possible to avoid any possible delays.
6-8 weeks before the wedding
Most couples choose to send their invitations between 6 and 8 weeks prior to their wedding date - that generally leaves them with enough time to chase up the late ones after the rsvp date has passed and to get the final numbers to the reception venue.
3-4 weeks before the wedding
This is generally when we set the rsvp date. It generally gives you enough time to finalise numbers and to inform your reception venue. We will discuss these dates with you to see what suits you best.
